About

Hello there! My name is Emily Caldwell and I am a painter. Painting has long been something that has brought me immeasurable joy. There is something about it that makes my heart sing. I am in love with the process of it all. The way the canvas smells when it’s first opened, when the paint drips and moves in ways I could never imagine myself, how colors so bright can not only bring a smile to my face, but smiles to anyone who views it. You see, it has never really been about the final product for me. It’s all about the process and the happiness a painting can bring to others. I am 100% here for that.

I am from Springboro, Ohio and currently reside a little bit north in Columbus; a city that I love very deeply. I have been blessed with the unique opportunity to call places like Kona, Hawaii and Charleston, South Carolina home and those experiences have provided me with boundless inspiration that will fuel my creativity always. I live to be fascinated. I am constantly in awe of the beauty around me. I’m swept off my feet by the colors of every single flower I come across. The ocean breathes life into lungs in a way I can never fully communicate. The sunshine feeds my soul. And I am constantly blown away by how intricately the God of the universe designed even the smallest, loveliest things. So often I’m asked, “what do you paint?”. The answer is simple. I paint what makes me happy, what I find beautiful, and I celebrate the divine details in everyday things.

As far as my professional journey goes, I graduated from Cedarville University in 2013 with a degree in Studio Art. Since then, I have displayed my paintings in many unique venues, worked on countless commissions, taken part in art festivals, been involved in some really cool projects, and was most recently featured in The Charleston City Paper.

Life is good. Painting is wonderful. I am so happy you stopped by. Thank You.

Emily
